Q: Do you offer order pickup for local customers?
A:
Yes! We are happy to announce we are now offering local pickup for customers in the Twin Cities metro at our Edina Warehouse (Monday - Thursday). Use promo code: LOCALPICKUP at checkout to save on shipping and opt in for local pickup.

Q: How long will it take for my pieces to arrive?
A: It completely depends on the product!  We work to ship our standard in stock orders within 5-7 business days of your order. Please reference the Shipping & Returns section on the product's page for a more accurate overview.

Q: How do you calculate your shipping and handling charges?
A:  We base our shipping rates on the total price of the products in your cart.  Freight and handling fees are only added on products that require a special packaging.  We work to include rates that closely reflect those we receive from our shipping partners.  This helps ensure that your pieces arrive in your home to your highest standards.  

Q: Do you ship outside of the United States?
A:  At this time we are able to ship within the continental United States and to Canada.

Q: What shipping carriers and/or delivery services does Brooke & Lou use?
A: We ship most orders via Fedex, UPS and USPS.  Our furniture orders are delivered with the option of a white glove service that will unpack and place the piece in the room of your choice.  This service also includes a call prior to delivery.  

Q: Where can I find details about shipping and returns?
A: Detailed information about shipping can be found on our Shipping & Returns page. 

Q: How will I know that Brooke & Lou received my order?
A:  Upon order completion, you will receive a confirmation email from us that includes your order number and details about how to contact us if you have any questions!

Q: Will I receive all of the pieces in my order at the same time?
A:  It really depends on what you order!  Many of our pieces come directly from a manufacturer.  When items come from our warehouse we work to ship orders out within two business days of your order.

Q: What if I have questions about one of your pieces?
A: We'd love to hear from you!  You can contact the Brooke & Lou team at hello@brookeandlou.com

Q: Will you get any of your out-of-stock pieces back in stock?
A:  That depends on what it is!  Our collected items are typically one-of-a-kind so sadly once they're gone, they're gone.  Other accessories, furniture, rugs, and wallpaper are more likely to come back in stock.  If you love a product; tell us!  We'd love to hear about it.  

Q: So how do you clean Life Friendly™ Crypton© Products?

A: One thing that we highly recommend is getting your furniture professionally cleaned once a year.  That will really extend their life.  Liquids typically roll right off Crypton© fabric or can be quickly blotted off with a dry cloth.  For dirt and other stains, mix 1/4 tsp of mild, enzyme detergent such as Tide© or Dawn© with 1 cup of lukewarm water.   

Registry

Q: Do you offer gift packaging?
A: At this time, we do not offer gift packaging. However, all Brooke & Lou orders are packaged with custom tissue, postcard, and logo sticker.

Q: How do I receive my discount?
A: Your 10% off promo code will be automatically sent to you at the end of the month of your event date.

Q: I need help selecting items. Can you assist with that?
A: Our knowledgeable and trusted team is here to ensure you pick the right products for your family! Please reach out to our Store Manager, Jordan, at jordan@brookeandlou.com for assistance.

Q: Am I able to edit my account details (e.g. shipping address) after creating my Registry?
A: Yes! Simply select “Edit Registry Details” on your Registry page to edit.

Q: Will I know when someone makes a purchase off of my Registry?
A: Yes! You will be able to see what items are fulfilled under the “HAS” column.

Q: I received a notification that a purchase was made off my Registry, but I’d prefer to hold shipping until after I’m married. Is this possible?
A: Unfortunately, we’re unable to hold shipments at this time.

Payments

Q: Is my credit card information secure?
A: Yes, all credit card information is encrypted during transmission and storage to ensure your data is secure.

Q: Will my order include sales tax?
A:  Tax and freight will be indicated in your cart. 

Q: What types of credit cards do you accept?
A:  We accept American Express, Visa and Master Card.  

So how do I keep all of this clean?

At Brooke & Lou we care a lot about you being able to keep your new items looking and feeling fresh.  If you have questions beyond what is included below let us know!  

Rugs:  Wool blend rugs are easy to maintain.  Spot clean with either Woolite or Greenworks liquid spray.  Other cleaning sprays without bleach will also work.  For all hand knotted 100% wool rugs, we recommend using a vacuum with suction only to gently clean 2-4 times a month.  Spot clean as needed with a damp cloth.  Avoid soap or cleaning products as they could damage or fade the rug.  For larger stains, we recommend sending to a professional rug cleaner. 

Slipcovers:  Crypton slipcovers should be machine washed only.   

Upholstered Furniture:  To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean, using a mild water free solvent or dry cleaning product. Clean only in a well-ventilated room and avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride or other toxic materials. Pretest a small area before proceeding. Cleaning by a professional furniture cleaning service only is recommended.

Wallpaper: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Pillows:  Fabric can be spot treated. Use mild soap and cold water. Test on small spot first. Treat stain from back side when possible. For machine washing, wash in cold on gentle cycle with mild soap. Do not use bleach. Can be dry cleaned. Do not iron. Can steam to get wrinkles out.

Shipping Information: For in-stock items, our warehouse works to ship orders out within 7-10 business days.  For custom pieces and hand knotted rugs, we ship between 8-14 weeks. 

COVID Shipping Update: All in-stock items have returned to normal shipping times! Due to COVID manufacturing delays, lighting, upholstered furniture, and other larger pieces are experiencing longer delays of approximately 2-3 weeks in addition to the expected ship date listed in the product description. You can always reach out to our customer service team at hello@brookeandlou.com with any questions on specific products.

International Shipping: We only ship within the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) at this moment.

Canada Orders: Orders to Canada is not offered directly through our website at the moment. However, our Customer Service team can create a custom order for certain items for you! If you are interested in this option, please email hello@brookeandlou.com with your shipping details and the item(s) you are interested in ordering for more details.

Custom Canada Orders: Expedited shipping is not available to Canada.
Small packages will ship to Canada via UPS or FedEx. Please note that brokerage fees, import taxes, and/or duties may be assessed by the shipping carrier and are the responsibility of the customer. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. International delivery times vary depending on the customs office of the arrival country and may be subject to VAT and duty/custom fees, which are the responsibility of the customer. International orders will ship USPS/UPS International unless otherwise requested. Brooke & Lou will not be held responsible if international orders are lost, damaged or stolen. All Canada orders are final sale. 

PO Boxes & APO Boxes:  Unfortunately, we do not currently ship to PO or APO Boxes. All orders must be shipped to a physical address.

Backorders:  We make every effort to ensure our products reflect the most accurate inventory and shipping information.  On rare occasions, changes to our estimated ship times do occur.  Orders cannot be canceled due to a backorder.  Orders are automatically sent to and confirmed with our manufacturer; at which time we are unable to process cancellations. 

RETURNS

Due to the nature of our collection - handpicked, custom and truly unique pieces - we do not accept returns for most of our products. For any concerns, please visit our Contact Us page to get in touch with the Brooke & Lou team. 

At this time, we do not accept returns for:

  • Furniture
  • Any items from our “Collected” section, including art
  • Rugs
  • Wallpaper
  • Fabric by the Yard
  • Lighting

For Pillows, Accessories, and Art (please note that we do not accept any Art returns from our Collected section), please return within 14 days of receipt by contacting our customer service at hello@brookeandlou.com.  

Our customers are responsible for the return shipping cost if an item needs to be returned.

EXCHANGES

We unfortunately do not offer product exchanges at this time.

DAMAGED GOODS POLICY
While all of our pieces are inspected prior to shipment and are shipped in new condition, it’s possible that damages may occur during shipment. Brooke & Lou will replace any damaged item(s) at no additional cost if you contact our team within 48 hours of the item’s arrival (visit the Contact Us page for contact information). Brooke & Lou will provide a shipping label for the return of the damaged item, so please do not discard the item or its packaging. If the item arrives damaged but is not eligible for a replacement, you will receive store credit for the total purchase price of the item(s). If the damaged item is furniture, Brooke & Lou will find and coordinate with a local repair shop in your area to fix the damaged item.

We are so excited to announce we are offering order pick-up at our Mendota Heights warehouse for local customers. Save on shipping fees, and use discount code LOCALPICKUP at checkout to save. 

Pickup available Monday - Thursday (9:00AM - 3:00PM) at our Mendota Heights Warehouse (1408 Northland Dr. #302. Mendota Heights, MN 55120). 

Local pick-up available for in-stock accessories and décor at our warehouse. Does not apply to: lighting, rugs, furniture, wall décor, pillows, and large-scale pieces.

Here at Brooke & Lou, we stand behind our products 100%.  We are confident in the partners we have in the marketplace and work hard to make sure our products are of the highest quality.  It's important to us that you, as customers, feel the same about what you've chosen to have in your home.  Our pieces are inspected prior to shipment, however if you do notice damages please let us know within 48 hours of receipt and our team will work on a replacement.

Wallpaper Installation

Every Brooke & Lou Exclusive Life Friendly™ Wallpaper order includes installation instructions for you to provide to your installer. You can also find a copy of the Wallpaper Installation Instruction below.

Our substrates are a total width of 27” with the printed space of 25”. Once cut to the crop/trim marks, the print will be at a final width of 24”. With a total 1” overlap/underlap (0.5” Marked inset from printed sides) for assurance of a seamless alignment during install. Installers will use the “Double Cut” method (Shown Below) to hang each panel; removing both the overlap and underlap after cutting.
